Gear S2 not showing map summary after activity

[AC Question]

I have a feeling this is a dead end but................. Just got a Moto G4 and now when I start an activity from the watch it will show distance but after ending there is no map on the phone or on S Health. Start the activity from the phone and the map does show after ending. Any chance there is a reason for this besides incompatibility?
