Gear s2 range

Hi i am thinking of getting a gear s2 but I was just wondering how far can my devices be apart before they lose connection? I usually leave my phone quite a distance away from me when I work hence if the distance is short don't wana waste my money buying it

My Bluetooth range is about 30-40 feet but if the phone is connected to wifi then when the watch leaves bluetooth range it will connect via wifi so its extended within the wifi's range.
