Gear S2 with N7 ringing issue

Anyone ever figure out why the gears s2 rings when it's set to silent only when paired with the Note 7? I have reset it and that doesn't fix it. What's weird is it's the same ring tone as the phone. Even happens with the phone and watch on silent.

Same problem here. Worked perfect with the S7 Edge. With the Note 7 I can't keep the damn thing from ringing. I absolutely hate the watch ringing. :-\

Same. I don't know what the issue is unfortunately.

No problem with the Note 5 but does ring both on note 7. So the issue is with the Note 7 somehow.

Yep some how the Note 7 owns the S2. I don't mind the same ringtone. I just want it to be silent when I set it silent.

I'd like to know if any Tmo N7/S2 owners that got the "performance update" on their N7's are still having this issue.

I have the update and the ringing is still happening.
