So I have a funny issue that started sometime this week. My AMEX card was working fine on my Gear S3 for a while, since launch (Verizon Version) a few weeks ago. All the sudden I get a Sat connected to phone when I launch it and try to use it. My other 2 cards work fine.

There was an update last week that enables discover cards to work I noticed after the update my Amex delta airline card wouldnt work any more

Ran into the same problem. I removed Spay from my s3and reinstalled and added the cards back in and that started them working again.

I'm beginning to wonder if Spay is really worth all the work it's taking to keep it running.

I am really surprised they have not fixed this yet.
These bugs may not be within the scope of Samsung pervue. They may be specs that the banking institutions need to comply with in order for their system to work correctly with S Pay. And S Pay might not have large enough user base to warrant the banks making that a top priority.

Well it works fine on the phone... not an issue. only that card on the watch is an issue. My other two cards from the same bank work fine.

Working on the phone still.... reset the card on the watch - reinstalled- and it worked fine a a few weeks.... now back to the warning.

I had an email last month?? saying amex cards were not supported, but I could just add it back to spay. Been working fine since.

I just re-added it and it is working for now. If Amex doesn't work properly then S-Pay is pretty useless to me. That is my best rewards card and I use it for everything. Never had an issue on my phone using it, just the watch.

This is an old thread but I have had the same thing happen to me recently. Rather than delete or add the card back in, I simply Unpaired my watch from my phone and repaired it back. After doing so the one of three cards, I have in my samsung pay that had disconnected... which did happen to be an American Express card happily connected back and was working fine again. If this fix works for someone else, this is far faster and easier to just unpair and repair the watch to the phone as all my card data was all still there. Hope this helps someone.
