My friend noticed this last week with his Gear and now I am noticing it too. We went many months with batteries that lasted more than 48 hours. After the latest update, our batteries are drained within only 10 hours.

  1. How do we "roll back" the update?
  2. How will we know when the update becomes safe to install?

Thanks but this just looks like a different way to install the most recent version. Where is the list of choices to install previous versions?

Further, I'd like to make it clear that I want to rollback the version on the watch itself ... not the Gear app on the phone.

I wouldn't roll back for nothing. I'm still getting days of use. I can't keep track of how many days I go in between charges.

My battery life has turned to crap as well. I will be down to 75% in 30 minutes of the watch just sitting on the end table.

Going to try factory reset.

I have not noticed a decrease in battery life but I have noticed that several times a week, my watch will not be at 100% when I take it off the charger in the morning lately.

Watching it closer today... I'm actually losing 20% an hour. Not even able to make it 6 hours running stock face no apps. Before update , I could get 1.5 days out of a charge.

Took watch off charger at 330pm was 100%. It's almost 730pm and I'm at 32%

How can I roll back to old firmware?

I noticed this a couple of days ago. However I just got a new update this morning and hope this fixes the problem.

Looking in the Samsung forums... this might be a motherboard issue. People are reporting same decreased battery life and sending them into Samsung. After Samsung replaces motherboard, they are getting the good battery life again.
