gear S3 Frontier battery life is horrible

Is anyone still having issues?

My battery life has been much more of what I would expect the last few days.

I've reset the watch and reinstalled the three apps on the phone. Updated all apps except Samsung Health, so I'll see how it goes.

Yeah, I didn't reset, uninstall, or delete anything, and mine seems to be back to normal. Wore it to bed last night, and lost less than 10% which is typical for me. A few days ago when wearing it to sleep I lost 85% overnight so this is an improvement.

Same here, didn't delete, uninstall, or reset anything and the watch has-been back to normal foe the last 48 hours or so.

Mine is still no better. I have to charge it every night. I have had it about 16 months and paid a lot of money for it. This is ridiculous.

Mine is back to normal, but I reset it. Still have the same apps, and watch faces. Not trusting it.

Mine is better now. 100% at 0600. It's now 1830 and I'm at 55% with moderate usage. Has been like this the last couple of days. Don't know why it's gotten better

Hi,

Is anyone else having issues with battery life on their Gear S3 Frontier?

I charged mine last night put it on this morning and I down to 73%. Last night it had 23% left after 14 hours or so. It is Verizon LTE.

Thanks

EVERYONE complains about battery life. At some point, when you've tinkered with it enough, it'll get better. Just don't expect instructions. I could be you have too much going on or that your watch is trying to connect to a network and not getting that done, or any number of things. I've done so many things I couldn't figure out which one worked if my life depended on it. I have an LTE watch, I seldom use it for calls (I'm retired) but alot of email and text. I've decided to keep my phone on my mostly so I connect via BT but I can go to Connect Remotely automatically when I walk away for some reason. All that puts me at 100% at 9 am and 77% right now at 9:30 pm. Works for me.

I believe this is a ploy, like apple does with the iPhone. They have shortened the battery life in order to get you to buy a new one.

My battery life went to hell after the last upgrade about a week ago. If I could go back I would not buy this S3 again. Also, will not move up to the new Galaxy Watch because of this experience.

Nice to know it's not just me, my not-quite-2-year-old S3 Classic also has gotten VERY bad at both battery life of late and syncing with my beefy work email - it lags again, horribly, as it did last year and I got past. Anyone with ANY clues I'd love to hear it. I love it when it works well! Other notifications - right away. But this is a 10K-per-month email account and... also, when I try to tell it to NOT sync the other 2 email addresses I don't care to get on my watch, it stalls at "processing"! Maddening!

My Pebble did much that the S3 does (not all) but less pretty. And held a charge for a full 7 days PLUS waterproof! Too bat Fitbit bought it and killed it. Ugly looking but worked well!

My gear s3 battery life greatly increased after the update. If you Galaxy Wearable you can see what is using your battery. I changed the watch face and I think that helped. The faces with many functions use more battery. I also turned off apps I dont use.

No luck here. Since the update I get 4 hours with default settings after a factory restore. I can push it to 10 hrs by turning off LTE and wifi.

I just replaced my Gear S3 battery and WOW what a difference. Batteries are available on Amazon and Ebay. I had to buy a tool kit as what was included with the battery was not enough.

My battery appears to be all jacked up. Yesterday it died after around 12 hours with a black AOD watchface. Not great, but ok. I plop it on the charger, and maybe fifteen minutes later I turned it back on because I use it to keep my phone unlocked. Well, after just 15 minutes, it showed the battery at 76%. Then after maybe 10 minutes, it was down to 52%.

Just ordered a battery from Amazon to see if I can get a little more life out of this thing. 2.5 years of every day use is a decent lifetime for a battery, at least using phones as a reference.
