Gear VR Promotion Success/Failure Thread: please post whether you are successful ...

I got the 4-6 weeks from fbm today as well. I was approved 4/3 which I finally got them to tell me. They even said I should receive an email by the end of this week and if I don't to contact them again.

They also mentioned that I was approved, but I'm now in the fulfillment approval based on terms and conditions,so I'm hoping to get somewhere! I'm still holding out hope.

Good Afternoon all,

Following up from my initial post here after another week has gone by. Status is still the same as it has been in that it's showing a shipping date of 5/8/2016 (Mother's Day). The only contact I've had to or from PL was the message on FB that you can find in the linked post above.
I've included a list of publically available email addresses that can be obtained right on the bottom of their website. Prizelogic.com

I do not advocate shaming them through email so I'm sorry if this breaks any rules in posting this (public) information. I am including them only so that others may follow suit or adjust based on their own situation moving forward. I will be writing up an email based on my experience so far and submitting it to the main email address for the location based out of Southfield. I will BCC the other addresses as they contain "Senior" titled staff to ensure that at least one person manages to see what's going on. I will reference this very thread via URL so that there is no confusion.

I'll update accordingly if anything comes back worth mentioning. If nothing happens I will make another post in a week reflecting the lack of communication.

To forum mods and/or admins - I apologize if this is againt the rules. It certaintly isn't my intention to have done so.

Agreed. But I guess I will wait out this week for something (I'm in the 6th week) and if nothing I'll bark up their tree again!

Date changes, Changes to Terms & Conditions, Approval levels, Audits, Location code errors, 4 wks, 6 wks, 8 wks....It just comes down to whatever they choose to say at any given moment. I've talked to at least 5 different PL reps and each of them has given me different info...completely different info. One actually told me mine was shipping on May 10...He said, "May 10!" Then 2 minutes later, his 'Supervisor' said that was not correct, they have no dates & no way of knowing dates. I'm gonna call & tell them that I want to apply for a job there, but I'm afraid I'm overqualified.....cuz I Know How to Tell the Truth!!!

Apparently there's 2 jobs that you can be completely wrong and still keep your job. Weather forecasting and Prizelogic customer service...
 
Well my Gear S2 was delivered 5/14, and today (5/16) I got an email that it was shipping and the tracking info. My status on the PL website updated today, also. I think they're just incredibly inept, but I can't really complain, it worked out better for me than many others.

On a side note, it works a LOT better than my original Gear S, other than S-voice, which just sucks no matter the platform or device.

When did you submit? (Sorry if you've already posted this. It's hard for me to keep track after hundreds of pages... lol)
 
Tomorrow marks 10 weeks since my 03/09 submission. Approval email on 03/16 (PL says it is 4/14-which is a joke, as I still have the original email) Received the blanket approval email on 4/18. (4 days delay to send me a fake approval date? hmmm) Received the generic activate your watch email and laughed to keep myself sane. 10 weeks and I still have nothing, much like many of the other unlucky 03/09-03/12 submissions. This whole promotion is a joke. I love how most responses from PrizeUnlogic state, "This promotion was larger than we anticipated." Really??? A Flag ship phone and free VR or watch. Right, I can totally see how you couldn't have been prepared or anticipate the participation. *sarcasm* All frustration aside, I am happy that SOME people are still receiving items. It helps me maintain some small sliver of hope. I think the whole promotion will go down as a complete failure, and I am sure they are preparing for back lash that will ensue. "Free" item or not, Samsung has to know it has tarnished its reputation buy doing business with PL. I shall start my tenth week tomorrow, and just continue to wait for the first submissions to be fulfilled.

Remember your fury when the note 6 launches, I'll be waging a small gorilla action on every platform I can get my hands on and be e-mailing the most spurned to share their story's about this abortion of a lottery they have put on.
 
Sounds like Samsung and co. are really just scrambling with this and are all sorts of effed up. Even though my Gear was delivered on Saturday, I just got the email saying it's on its way. :confused:
 
I'm a 3/9 submitter too. But I never got any email outside of the thanks for your submission right after I submitted and the blanket email about activation. So I don't have an approval email to go off of, but according to them 4/3. As angry as I am, I'm just hoping something happens soon. Like my husband calling me when it shows up on my door. It's all I can do right now.

Just an fyi... and for those that have been following this thread since early March already know this...... they are pulling those email confirmation dates out of thin air when you call...... they do not care if the info they give you is right or wrong, their job is to pacify you enough to get you off the phone and wait another 4-6 weeks...... some good news is that it seems like they are now prolonging the wait even more for the S2 but "seem" to have stopped randomly replacing people's Gear watch unexpectedly with VR's showing up out of the blue on doorsteps.... haven't read any reports in the last week or so of VRs like there was a few weeks ago...... tomorrow is Tuesday so maybe we will start seeing more S2s in route again.....

Been following since March, just never posted. It's the first actual date I've gotten from them. And it seems consistant with each time I ask. I mean, Yea it sucks that we haven't received it, but what can we currently do about it other than wait??

He/she/it Deleted the post, but I was kind of odd. No one had ever received a swapped VR and a cert on the same day. Supervisors usually email it to you in a couple days. I was Monday, people usually don’t get stuff on Monday.

Could be legit maybe the mods removed the post, or He/She/It got a bite on the offer and removed it.

But be wary of scammers all. Use Swappa, ebay, ect. Where ever there one scam(this whole promotion) there is another.
 
Nothing here yet, mine was 3/9,and couple days later a approval date, but now there saying mine was April 18th,which is bs, jus hopefully it shows up one day, nothing in fedex and still shipping pending
 
Had my S2 almost a week now. Never did get an email with any tracking info. The tracking number did actually show up in the status web site tho.

Good Morning,

Another day down, 3/11 submit, 3/13 1st approval date, 4/7 approval letter date and still waiting, still pending nothing in FDM.

After going over the post from this site again I have noticed that those of us in the 3/9-3/11 dates who never received a estimated ship date, not one of us have been lucky enough to receive it or tracking info in FDM. This scares me a bit. People are receiving it but nobody who has been in our boat.
