Finally got an update: says gift processed and should be shipped between 5/1 and 5/8. No tracking yet.

Mine is processing - I hope its not like last year when I ordered a 2 for 1 special on the Fast Charge wireless charging pucks. It took them 4 months to process the order. Ordered in January, received first week of May.

I hear people saying that things need signed for to be delivered. Is that just for the 99 dollar bundle or is it for everyone? My local mail service is awful and usually try to pretend to deliver packages as they dont wanna climb some steps.

I know my $99 bundle required signature. I wasn't home yesterday when it arrived so they left a note and the address of the closest FedEx facility for me to pick it up. This really baffles me because they did not make me sign for my phone (even tho it said "signature required"). I don't get their thinking on this at all.

Finally got notified that I am approved, but when I check the App it says "Approved" but doenst say for what device. Its just blank. If you chose the $99 bundle does it actually show that. Two of my friends chose just the VR and it show VR and remote. Mine got kicked back twice saying I didnt attach receipt but I verified with a REP on the phone that they received it twice.

I just got the VR (not the bundle) and mine did not require a signature.

So, I have a similar story to some other people I've seen in this thread. I got my phone on the 21st, immediately went to submit for the promo with the $99 package, realized it was already sold out, got kind of pissed about that and held off on submitting, stupidly hoping maybe they would announce they were expanding that promo or something. Then, on Saturday evening, I finally decided to go ahead and submit for the promo, so I didn't miss out on the Gear VR too. I submitted through the Shop Samsung app, and for some reason everytime I took a picture of my receipt, it would come out looking really blurry. I thought maybe it was just something messed up in the app, so I just went ahead and submitted it. I got my phone through Best Buy, and submitted my actual purchase receipt, which I've come to find out through this thread and other things I've read, is a no-no.

Got an email on Monday of this week then, saying something messed up in uploading the receipt and I needed to re-submit it. Not knowing about the receipt thing, I took another picture and made sure this one wasn't blurry and resubmitted it. I then got an e-mail yesterday saying my submission was denied because my purchase didn't occur in the offer period, same thing other people have said. I was all ready, just now, to go through the process of calling Samsung and getting it fixed, since I had already used my one re-submission and couldn't just send the pre-order e-mail. Before I did, however, I decided to check my e-mail again. I've seen a few people in here mention getting a denial, and then later getting something saying they were approved. I checked to make sure I haven't missed any approval e-mail, and I haven't. However, I decided to actually check the Gift Status on the Promotions website, and on there it says my submission has been approved and is in the "Processing Gift" phase.

I haven't actually gotten an e-mail yet saying it was approved, but I'm assuming if the status page says it's approved, it's been approved.

Pre order gift arrived today, that was fast.

I just opted for the new gear VR pkus remote since I did not need the headphones or the SD card. But that was actually super quick.

Finally got mine bundle today. The VR experience is much better with the remote, plus the s8 does much better than the note 7 as far as heat and battery drain. The headphones are really nice too especially when playing games on the VR. I'd say the $99 bundle was definitely worth it especially if I can sell the SD card for $100 and break even.

I received the phone on the 20th, registered for the promotion on the 21st, my registration was accepted on the 22nd & paid for the upgrade the same day - and no update since then. AArghhhh!
