They are available in both models at Best Buy. Just picked up one for my wife's S3 today. I bought the Fre. Not too sure I would trust the Nuud.

My wife's S3 with life proof case next t my S4. Just got back from the beach and the case worked perfectly in the ocean and pool.

depends...if you have an s3 and like it, lifeproof all the way. If you are up for a new phone the active is nice. I had the S4 active for a week and was not happy with the support of accessories etc so returned it. I will wait on the lifeproof for my S4 over the S4 active. too many posts with issues going wrong and although the lifeproof is not perfect, I would probably trust it more under water.
