Geo-tagging Pictures Taken?

I have the setting on the camera set to geo tag the pictures I take, but how do I see/use this information? A buddy of mine who has an iphone pulled up a map with all of the locations of everywhere he had taken pictures with geo-tagging. Will I need an app to utilize this feature? Thanks.

View the picture in the gallery, hit menu, hit more, and a View on Map will be an option. It won't show ALL of your pictures, but it will show you that one.

In addition, you can import all your photos from your phone to applications on the computer like Picasa or iPhoto if you're a Mac user, and they can use the geotag info.

or wait till Froyo that has a pretty cool gallery feature that lists the photos by date and location

I had this problem too, but apparently I had not turned on the geo tracking. After I did and took a picture, the map option appeared.

Then the photo isn't geotagged. Make sure you turn it on when you take the photos (it's not enabled by default, I believe).

Thanks ... It just took about 20 seconds for the gps to get a lock ... works fine now.

But this is just for one photo correct? The map will not show all pictures in the map...will it?
