Gestures' double tap function not working.

I have the flashlight set to the double tap gesture function. It worked briefly then stopped. Any ideas?

Does it work again after a reboot?

Do you have a case on? If so, does it work if you take the case off?

I have not rebooted. Took the case off, also toggled the tap harder function.

It's working more consistently now. When I tap with the tip of my index finger, that seems to get the best results for me. I'm tapping pretty hard, at a fine point.

My double tap works except for the flashlight, which is what I need. Anyone else having an issue with the flashlight? I have rebooted a number of times.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

This feature worked perfectly on my P7P until a few days ago. It simply stopped working and neither toggling the feature in settings nor restarting the phone fixed the issue. But I just tried it and it's back to working again. Just a glitch I suppose.

....and, it's back to not working again. I think this requires an update fix.

I don't know if it was an update fix, but the Quick Tap function has been working flawlessly.
