Gestures/Nova Browser

I installed beta 4 today and have spent quite some time using "gestures" for navigation. With Beta 2 and 3 my phone would quickly lock up. I'd have to power off and reboot. But, I've played with gestures since 6 o'clock and I haven't had any problems.

So Nova is working fine all around? It's the one thing I need to have on my phones so if it works then I'm in.

Hey, it's worked so far for me but I'm no geek. I have avoided Nova's gesture settings so I won't have one that's a direct conflict with Android Q.

It works but is not perfect e.g. there is still a double animation when going home which I find distracting

Neil, I've avoided the gestures in Nova or turned them off when I could. If Android is moving into Gesture World, then Nova can back off.

The gesture I am referring to is the android one not a nova one e.g. swipe up for home, it takes you home but there is a double animation before you get home.

On my phone right now, if I'm in an app and swipe up the app shrinks to nothing, which is I suppose an animation, and then the home screen is there. There doesn't seem to be a double anything.

I did have trouble going to the app drawer so I set it, using Nova, to go to the app drawer if I double tap a blank spot on the screen. The teeny little strip between the bottom bezel and the doc will do it so I tap the little useless white line twice and have the app drawer.

This is fun but I have noticed I have the dreaded battery drain for every beta that comes out but it only lasts for two or three days. I'm sure it has nothing to do with my compulsive playing with the phone.

Cannot upload a screen capture showing it. It is subtle but not the correct behaviour, like the go home gesture doubling up, it is really quick but enough to drive me back to Pixel launcher. Same on MS launcher too.

Only happens on full system gestures, it is fine if I use the 2 button gesture pill.

Full gestures are unusable for me on Nova. Since I fell in love with full gestures I'm sticking to pixel launcher for now
