Get a free Gear S2 with the purchase of a Verizon S7/S7 Edge

Samsung Promotion page showed the same thing it has shown for a month "approved blah blah blah" . FedEx Manager showed on the 8th that the label was created and to be delivered on the 12th. This afternoon FedEx Manager changed to picked up at 12 am and showed up in Indianapolis at 4:37 pm and is in transit for delivery on 4/15. The Samsung Promotion page also changed this afternoon to "Congratulations! Your submission has been approved and your gift has been processed and is currently in route". So in this case at least they are copacetic. I submitted on the 10th of March.

Received my second s7 edge today but no watch. I'll keep the phone in the unopened box and wait a bit. If I don't get my watch within the return period of that second s7 edge, it's being sent back and I'm switching carriers. I've been with verizon since day one, and back to the days of New England Telephone, Bell Atlantic, and NYNEX Mobile. I have multiple phones through Verizon with a massive monthly bill as well. This mess has left me with a bad taste for them and I'm sure a lot of you might be in the same boat. Nothing like muddying the waters with a stunt like this, and then customer service that used to be the best, now the worst!

Old radio phones off Mt Wachusett repeaters yup I've got about 300 of the flips too. Bag phone by Motorola was my first actually cellular unit. Motorola 3 I believe. Could tweet them up to 8 watts.

How do I follow up to see if I got approved? I got my phone on 3/11/16 and I did the registration for the free watch the same night. I haven't herd anything since that night.
 
Your welcome! Let's hope they actually got shipped but it would be nice to know when they are being delivered so we could be sure it's not left out on the steps in the rain.

Mine finally updated yesterday to include a tracking number. I also got an email saying it was on the way with the tracking number. FedEx now shows it has picked up the item and is scheduled to be delivered on Tuesday, the 19th.

For now it's just sitting at FedEx because it will only actually take them 2 days to get it to me, but FedEx refuses to deliver any earlier than the paid for service maximum and FedEx Home delivery is usually 3-4 business days.

Anyway, should have my shiny new toy by Tuesday - for reference, I submitted my promotion claim on 3/9 which I believe is the earliest any of us could have submitted it. All in all, I'm receiving it within the 4-6 week promised timeline so that's good. But the way the promotion was handled, especially with communication, was horrible. Verizon should have negotiated with Samsung for Verizon to handle the watch promotion and send out the watch along with the phone - would have been a much better experience.
 
My status page finally updated with a FedEx # and according to FedEx, my S2 should be here tomorrow! (submitted 3/10)
 
Does anyone know if these Gears received through the Verizon promotion are verizon-locked? Trying to ebay mine and that is a common question.
 
From what I gather from reading, the S2 Watch might be since they already have an internal Verizon number assigned to them; but that's from just reading up this forum a bit.

Yes - internal sim locked to VZW - saw this posted in another thread someone had asked telesales and vz corp store.
 
My status message just changed again!

Up until 6pm (Thurs) I had the "in route" message. (aka enroute).

At 8pm, it just changed again. I'm now back to "processing".

BTW, I submitted mine 3/11.

Mine shows same thing. Since that company seems to be known as "glitch central" maybe it's another glitch. They seem to be unable to keep their stories straight.

Ok All... I am in Colorado and I submitted for my FREE gear S2 watch 3/12 A day after I got my s7edge. Like most of you I have gotten most of the same messages and the communication through Verizon and prize-logic is less than a happy experience. I will even go as far as saying that I am a bit frustrated that I do not have a new toy in hand. BUT at the end of the day we are getting A FREE WATCH!!!! That is $350 ish dollars that DOES NOT come out of my pocked. I am still within my 6 weeks that they initially said it might take for me to get my gear. So what if I even have to wait for a few more weeks. IT WILL STILL BE FREE!!! Also take into consideration that there are people posting on here that might be trying to get a rise out of us that are upset already. That is mean and childish.

I do want to say THANKS to all of you that have posted GREAT info like what version we could look forward to getting the 3g version or non 3g version. I am also happy for the people that have already received their watches. Super exciting to know that there are actually people out there that are getting them.

Got to remember that both Verizon and Samsung more than likely spent quite a bit of time sitting around a table trying to figure out the best way to promote a new launch and I am sure that they probably thought that they had it figured it all out. The fact is that the promotion was way crazier than they ever dreamed of and i would imagine that they are trying to do everything in their power to get us our FREE watch. Just food for thought. I am hoping for a gear for X-MAS!!!
 
Same here, received 3/11 claimed prize 3/12. Thing is they have emailed me several times claiming it's been sent out, then it shows on website, back in processing. But no offense, I still think there's some bugs in the system.

Yea I totally agree, not the greatest system and they are doing a great job pointing fingers. But you cant look a gifted horse in the mouth is all I am saying. Free is FREE not matter how you put it.

My status showed this morning that it was en rout and now tonight it is showing that they are preparing it for shipping. Was looking all day for a tracking number in an email and never saw it. Maybe tomorrow or the next month.:)

What I would like someone to help me with is how are some of you out there getting the information that FedEx has something for them and they do not even have a tracking number? I signed up on the FED EX sight and I still got nothing. Anyone want to help me out with this one?
