Get pixel 4 instead of 5 just for telephoto?

with regards to the telephoto lens of pixel 4 and not having it on pixel 5. is there any difference on portrait shots between the 2?
has anyone tried using a moment telephoto lens on their pixel 5?

I have both phones and I was shocked by how well the Pixel 5 can do portrait shots using software. It feels no different than a telephoto lens.

With that said, since I've owned the Pixel 5 which is about a month now, not once did I ever need to or even think of using the wide angle lens. I would've preferred a telephoto lens for better zoomed in pictures/videos quality.

5 pixel is not a very successful phone, as for me.

Portrait mode is supposed to automatically zoom in to 2X, if I understand correctly. Is that not the same as the 2X zoom on the 4 and 4XL? If that's the case, why not just get the 5, and have the 2X in Portrait, and the wide-angle feature as well?
