Is anyone getting a case for theirs? with mil spec and the gorilla glass are you buying a case? Im on the fence about gettting a case Ive always had a case with built in screen protector on the last several phones ive had

it's basically in a case with the rubberized plastic and steel sides. Yep. it's steel. I would never get a case for this.

Is there a lip around the screen that protects it if laid face down? If not, it will require a case.

I've never had a case on a phone, and only had one tiny chip so far. Be careful, that's all

This'll be the first phone I've owned for which I won't be getting a case. I may opt for a tempered glass screen protector, but that would be it.

This is what I'm planning, tempered glass screen protector. Already ordered through Amazon and it should arrive today. Also ordered a TPU case (clear), just to be safe. Total order was about $15.00, much better than buying in the store.

I'll use the screen protector for sure. Case, IDK yet. If I don't, no biggie, out like $7.00.

I'm on the fence myself - I got the HTC One M7 when it came out and I didn't want to cover that beauty. Had it 2 years with nary a scratch, then one day it happened. Stepped outta the car and boom, face down, shatter city.
Next phone I got an Otterbox and although it took a bit of getting used to, it is the best case for what it does.

I'm getting my V10 tomorrow and I can't find a decent case anyway. So i'll go naked for now. Looks like the Otter won't be out till December anyway.

On the fence also, my devices never go naked but this might be the first one.

I'm still to nervous to go without a case. I've had my previous phone Galaxy S4 for two years in an Otterbox. Since that's not available, I may pick up a cheap case from Amazon till the Otterbox is available.

Probably getting a case just to keep it in good condition. I've had an incipio case on my G3 since I got it last August and it does two things for me: makes it much easier to hold/grip, and also keeps the phone free from scratches and chips. The phone is basically still in mint condition.

Out of all the cases I have purchased throughout owning phones, Incipio makes some of the best, quality cases. They have become my go to cases for every device.

Naked. Never damaged a phone yet, and this should be the most durable phone I've had yet. This thing is so big already I wouldn't want to put a case on it anyway.

I going naked right now, and it's probably because this phone feels so solid, especially with the rubber back. Plus, for some reason I've got it in my head that it would be weird to put a case over the rubber back.

Getting a case. I'm an EMT and because of my job I've damaged a few phones in the past. I broke one jumping a fence to respond to a patient on the other side. I've even drove over one with the ambulance 🚑 (don't ask). Needless to say for me a case isn't an option. 😊

I'm getting a case this phone feels to delicate not to mention it's mad slippery, the metal bezel on the outside really makes it hard to grip on to at times

OK so I have it for 2 days now and I effing love this phone!!
I'm still on the fence....but i'm leaning toward a cover. I don't care how careful you are accidents happen. I can count the number of times I have dropped my phone on one hand but there is always that ONE TIME and it lands wrong!!
I buy my phones outright and **** that insurance bs - you pay a monthly fee, there is a surcharge and then the give you a refurbished replacement?? No Thanks - I'll just cover it and take my chances.

I'm with you, I'm kind of skeptical when it comes to claims relating to the toughness of phones. I put a Ringle crystal clear TPU bumper case on mine and a tempered glass screen protector. I can still enjoy the nice design and I feel more comfortable.
