Getting a replacement SIM Card

So, a follow up, somewhat to my "Horrible Radio Issues" thread - the rep from Verizon said that there were issues in the towers in my location, but in looking through things they realized that I had dropped calls in other locations as well and the issue may be the result of my SIM card, so they want to give me a replacement.

How do I go about making sure all the stuff I have currently on my SIM card is protected (contacts, SMSs, pictures, games)? Is it just as simple as copying everything from the SIM card to my PC and then copying it back when I have the new SIM card - or do they have something there that can transfer things?

There's nothing stored on a SIM Card... I think you're confusing the SD Card. SIM is only used to get a network service from Verizon. You wont lose anything by switching to a newer SIM.

Lol.. it happens. Actually the only thing it would have is contacts, only if you choose that option to save them. Chances are you're using Google to back them up.. or Verizon Backup Assistant. You can check under... Contacts... Menu.. View... and see if any are stored to the SIM.

looking at this thread, why do i have 20 google contact and 169 Phone contacts, how can i make them all go to google for back up?

Maybe this is why I have Horrible service, Works ok when CDMA Only, 4 G i get no signal even in the heart of a 4 g area.

4G hasn't gotten done with its growing spurts. I am using mine on the 3G and am very happy with it.
