Hi there,

I just got a new Nexus 7, upgraded from 2012 32GB 3G to 2013 32GB WiFi. While I was able to get my apps over to the new Nexus, I am struggeling to get my system settings over. Basically the setup of the home screens, the welcome screen/login screen, the folders I had created on the homescreen etc.

Is there any way to get that stuff transeferred? A Backup/restore of some kind? Some sync?

Appreciate your help!!!

Best wishes

No, you can't transfer system settings. If you are rooted it would be possible, but issues would likely occur (reboots, force closes).

Home screens: if you are using a launcher like nova or apex, you can export/import your home screen settings. Stock launcher: I don't think so.

If possible take screen shots of the lines you want to duplicate. There is no way to transfer settings for screen setup unless using a specific app as expressed above or have a way if rooted.
Enjoy the new one.
