Getting bad battery life on Moto 360

No I had debugging of the whole time.. Am currently discharging at a rate of about 10-15% an hour with hardly no use :( Don't know what to do! Am a bit lost :(

You have a defective watch.

It is easy to get 20+ hours of life on a charge with the 360. I know returning it is a pain, but there is likely nothing you can do to "fix" something that is physically broken.

Yep I agree.. There must have been a bad batch or two that slipped out recently. I ended up with a bad one with terrible battery life. Got a new one and I'm pleased.

Try isolating it, see if while disconnected from phone, gets bad batt life too.

Put watch on airplane mode. Watch should last approx 2 days.

Now here's what we're checking... If you get poor batt life on airplane mode, then you simply really do have a lemon, and I'd exchange immediately.

Guys, isn´t there something like "extreme use"? E.g. I am using my watches too often and that´s why it has only 10 hours of battery life a day? Because I have the same problem, ambient off, brightness auto, no apps, reseted and it has too big battery drain I think. Maybe I really use them too much, but I don´t think so, there are no such things to play with, so mine may be also deflective. What do you think?

Without specific numbers I got somewhere between 11-12 hours today and now my watch is completely drained. I've very few apps on the watch (ifttt, all the cooks) and have used the watch very minimally today only to check notifications and set the odd timer. Does this seem bad? What kind of usage are others getting? It is only my 4th full day with the watch so perhaps that's too account for the battery drain. What does everyone think?

I suppose it is possible to drain it that fast with many dozens of wakes and notifications a day. I am not sure, since I don't have that situation. You can control which types of notifications go to the watch. Is it possible you have a dud? Yes. But to be sure, turn down notifications to something reasonable so you only get a handful per day and also turn off "tilt to wake screen" in settings on the phone and see if you get 24+ hours of life. If not, it could be defective. If so, then you probably were getting too many notifications, or that you are accidentally activating the screen way more than typical. If so, then add back more notifications and see. If still OK, then add back "tilt" and see.

Hello,

Open your Android Wear app on device, go to Settings/Debugging over Bluetooth.. Make sure this setting is OFF. It is by default, but you may have turned it on...

This will drain that battery real quick.

Charging time seems to be in the 1 hour or just a little over range so you should be okay there.

I don't even have this setting in the Android Wear app. Weird.

Thats because it was moved from the Android Wear app in an update to being hidden under Developer Options on the watch itself. By default it is disabled, so unless you enable Developer Options on your watch (same way as you do on your phone/tablet) you don't need to worry about this setting.
