Getting my LG 4 today, Leaving the GS6.

So I have had the Galaxy S6 Platinum Gold 64 GB since launch and after an AT&T update my signal quality was horrendous. Got a replacement thru warranty and just switched over to that phone. Signal quality sends to be a little better but I'm curious to see how the G4 compares.

I've only compared it to the Note 4 on T-Mo, but so far it's about the same. Camera controls are amazing on the G4, but still prefer the camera quality on Auto on the Note 4 (I'm sure you'll agree since the S6 is tremendously good with the camera).

The G4 will remind you a lot of Samsung's features, but in a...well, different implementation. Personally, I prefer Samsung's on most, but there are some things that LG got right. You might miss the Home button and capacitive buttons (I know I do).

The camera is amazing and I think I'll miss the fingerprint scanner as well. Excited to get my hands on the G4! Thanks for your input!

I honestly think you are making a right choice. I had the S6 for about a week before returning it for a G3. A freakin' G3. Then I returned that because I was oblivious to the fact that the G4 was right around the corner. I just couldn't fall in love with the S6 even after constant reassurance on the forums of people saying "just wait, it'll get better, early adopter problems blah blah". No thanks. I want something that is polished and functional out of the box. Everybody is different though, and personally the G4 is just better for me.

Welcome to the club!

I got my G4 yesterday and I will be returning my S6. Maybe I am just different but I actually like the UI better on the G4 then I do on the S6. Call me weird I guess. I think the size is perfect and so far happy with battery life (AT&T).

Hope you enjoy the G4!!

I'm with you. I returned my S6 for G4 and I played with it last night for couple of hours and been messing with it since this morning and so far do not miss S6 for the most part. I like double tap more than pushing a physical button, but that's just me.

Thanks for all the replies! Now I just have to wait to get off work to mess around with it!!

Please note, as I have said before, how the G4 allows you to customise the screen-nav button positions to what you are used to on the Samsung. Note also, that you cannot do the same on a Samsung, at least without root access.

I'm still accidentally pushing the camera lens thinking it's the hardware button :-\

Handling this phone definitely requires practice.

You'll get used to it with time. Do as some users do by starting in the middle of your device and working your way up. I have an uncanny ability to place my finger right on the power button every time I grab my device!
