Getting rid of ZenUI Quick Find?

When I first bought my Zenfone 2, it was a delight. I would unlock and log in. I could tap the microphone (or say OK, Google depending on where I was) and simply say something like "Play Beatles" or whatever group or composer I wanted to hear, and there is was almost immediately. I think it used Google Play.

Than about 2 weeks ago there was a big splashy announcement about something called ZenUI Quick Find. It made things horrible. Instead of answering things right away or playing something, it sent to a browser with a bunch of trending items.

So how do I get rid of Quick Find and return things to the way they were? I found one page but the solution doesn't work. Any other ideas? I just want it to go away.

Thanks

Isn't it part of ZenUI launcher? Switch to Nova or another launcher. I use Nova myself but there are others.

On the home page, swipe up from the bottom. Then click on preferences and go to the search settings. There, you can turn off quick search. You can also change the parameters if the search.
