Getting to miui

Is a sbf still needed to get from rooted gingerbread to miui. Or can you just download and install it from rom manager? And does wireless tether still work?

I would sbf just to start clean since your going to a new and totally awesome ROM. Let it sit on the fresh install of 602, once you've rooted ofc.
