Has anyone experienced replying to a text or email, looking for directions in the rain, and the screen becomes unresponsive, so it has to be restarted? Looking to upgrade my son to a sprint s4 from a VZW Droid X. He says his screen is useless when it gets wet.

I don't mean to sound like a jerk. But why not try to keep the device dry? On the other hand he NEEDS an upgrade. Going to the S4 from the DX... Will make a camper very happy

yeah, I get the same problem. It's not always possible to keep the device 100% dry, I've had times when I just got out of the shower, or when its raining I got a couple drops of water on the screen and it's unresponsive until I dry it off

Uhm... I keep my device as dry as possible so no. If you wish to be safe from that, best to go with a Galaxy S4 Active or a Sony Xperia Z. Those are waterproof.

I experienced the same issue when I used my phone in the shower trying to find a back scrubbing app.

The phone isn't meant to get wet. Just FYI.

thanks. I understand they aren't built to get wet, but sometimes when a college kid is outside, and its raining, they like to use their phones
