live in chicago area. confirmed with another htv evo owner and a droid incredible owner. google maps/navigation is either very very slow to not working at all. any one else having problems. sprint nav. still works.

Google Nav is reporting a lot of "data connection lost" messages on my Evo. Maps is loading tiles very slowly too.

I posted thread on this the other day, but got no responses. Everytime I try to use Google Maps, Navigator, or Navigation, my phone will shut off and reboot. Not sure what's going on with these apps.

hmmm, I just tried it worked normally for me, EDIT just tried a second search and while it did work it was quite a bt slower than Im used to

google maps slow or no connection

I'm having the same issue out here in cleveland ohio. Tried it with wifi on/off, gps on/off. It's taking up to 60 seconds to load a map, searches are dog slow, and sometimes just seams to time out. Everything else on the phone seems to work. I think this issue just cropped up today.

the weather on igoogle is not updating as well. The temperature for Modesto, CA where I am at has been stuck at 72 all day .. which coincidentally is the same temp that my beautiful widget has been stuck at all day... so it may be a google issue.

Google Navigation seems to be working fine again for me. No more data connection problems.

I've been using google maps for a while now on my BB and lately it has been very slow and sometimes the map doesn't load at all. interesting that people are having the same issue on a different phone.

North West Suburbs of Chicago

I'm in the North West Suburbs of Chicago and I tried google maps today for the first time on my Evo and the maps would never load up, got tired of waiting because I had to go some where so luckily I was able to pull up Sprint Nav and it worked like a charm!

Now that i think about it, I was trying to use GM on my GF's Pre a few days ago and was having problems. I wonder if it's an issue with Google.

That is exactly my problem. Every other time my Navigation was messed up I had to do a hard reset so I suspect that's what I'll have to do now.

Having data connection issues too

I only started noticing it yesterday, I wonder it is related to google , or related to the ota update I did yesterday. But either way I can't keep they phone if its not fixed
