Ghost Armor Carbon Fiber and Screen Protector Review

i got the black carbon fiber GA today. Not impressed with my install person. I should have taken it home and done the install myself. I'm just really picky about every piece being put on perfectly straight and the guy obviously was cross eyed. sucks, im not sure what to do about it now. Its a beat down to keep going in to get it redone. I just had my 3rd GA screen protector put on because of install issues. I might see if the company will send me a full kit if i send this back to them and install it all myself.

What was the issue with going through 3 GA screen protectors?

Is your screen totally clear?

Just the install people at my mall suck. first time had dust under the screen. second time, there were wierd wavy marks in the film that never went away. just had the third install done and that too is a bad install, the protector was put on too close to the edge on the bottom of the screen, so its starting to pull off every time i stick the phone in my pocket. UGH, i think i'm done with GA.

Yes the screen is totally clear, however, it seems more clear without it, just for the fact that the GA protector is a grease magnet. The phone's glass doesnt get any where near as greasy.

I decided to remove the Ghost Armor. I just wasnt that satisfied with it. Here is a quick recap of my opinion on it:

I had GA on my phone for 3 weeks. My issue with it was that it was attracted crazy amounts of grease/finger prints, to the amount that it would make the screen constantly look blurry. Even wiping it on my shirt would only help until the next time i used it.

The second issue, after removing the protector, i have realized how crisp and clear and sensitive to the touch the phone is. Even though the ghost armor was 99% clear and in retaining touch sensitivity, it still isnt like going naked.

And last, the feel of just the phone's glass screen is amazing, and i wish a protector could imitate that. I use swype keyboard, and typing with the naked screen is simply amazing, the feel is sooo smooth and silky. The ghost armor protector was not anywhere near as silky smooth to the touch. My finger still had resistance to it and it had a very very slight gummy feel to it

Quick question all. Does anyone use the otterbox defender with the full body GA installed? Just curious if it will work.

was not impressed with Ghost Armor. Had some Scrap 3M CF Auto Wrap and 1hr later...

The Carbon Fiber full body is only a sticker, any case will fit with it.

It may not be as good as the screen when it comes to finger prints and grease but it is better then any protector I have used before, 10 times better then the Verizon one. Plus the feel is much better too. Nothing will feel as good as the glass does,

My problem is that there is a kind of orange peel effect in verticle lines, but I don't see it when watching videos on it.

I've had a totally different experience. The only time my GA screen protector is greasy is when I've touched it with greasy fingers. Otherwise, it's clean so long as my fingers are clean.

It will fit, however, the front half of the Otterbox Defender's hard shell will crimp the bottom of the screen protector pretty good. It's hard to avoid as the way the case is intended to be installed causes excess contact and friction to the bottom side of the protector (the part just under the soft buttons and touchscreen). After installing the case and removing it to see what damage it has caused, you may think twice about using both of them together.

The underside of the Defender's screen-side shell isn't exactly contact friendly, by way of design and how it's molded.

I think I will just stick to either my incipio or regular silicon case.

Thanks for posting the pics, I just ordered the full body kit, gun metal grey.

The Gun Metal Grey matches the color of the phone perfect! Although this are bad pics (thinks to my iPod Touch) here are a couple of them to show the color.

This is a great product. If you let it completely dry than you shouldn't have any issue with it coming up. I love the one on my GN.

The search for "the ultimate screen protector" continues. I think this has been going on since dinausors roamed the earth. GH ain't got it. Who's next? Maybe what someone needs to try is a glass screen protector (instead of plazdick). :)

Hi all! I got my GNex a year ago and immediately had a GA screen protector installed. It had served me very well and I must say I'm very impressed.

I was still frustrated by the added bulk of most TPU cases that hid the clean lines of the phone that I considered going for the GA CF sticker/decal. Read and looked online of various reviews, including this thread, so I decided to give it a try. One thing I noticed among the photos here is the annoying cutout at the back showing the Samsung logo. I'm sorry, I find that aesthetically jarring. At this point I already got a gift certificate from GA that I was planning to use for a white CF, but I really wasn't sure of that damn cutout.

I went to a kiosk this morning, and found to my pleasant surprise that all CF of various colours did not have the Samsung cutout (I live in Vancouver, Canada). Elated, I had the guy install the white, and it really looks neat. The sticker feel takes a moment to get used to, but I'm loving it! Pics below.
