Ok so I got gingerblur 3.5 running on my atrix. But I have a problem, I cant get the Entertainment center to work so I can view stuff on my TV. I downloaded the gingerblur-entertainment-center-zip and applied it using the cwm recovery. But it still will not launch the entertainment center when I plug in the HDMI. I checked the file /system/build.prop and it shows hdmi.mirroring.enable=false. So that is right, but the line below it HDMI.default.app= . I am guessing that should have the dock provider or something there. When I plug into my tv, the tv screen flickers like it sees a connection but the phone never sends anything to it. I have root explorer but dont know how to edit those files, also dont know what should be there even if I did know how to edit that file. Any help would be much appreciated, even if some one would just look at there build, prop file and see what they have under the HDMI default app.

Edit: I was going to post this in the XDA forum but since I am so new it wont let me.

some one has to be running gingerblur, can you just open up your build.prop file and scroll down to the line that says

ro.hdmi.default.app=

and tell me if you have something after the equals sign. Please it is located in the /system folder. This is driving me crazy, it is one stupid feature that i'll barely use but I am about to flash the original 1.27 sbf and start the whole thing from scratch because I am crazy like that.

mine says the same thing.

when i plug in, i get an option to open the entertainment center or the webtop mod. I always use the webtop mod.

Thanks for the response, might just have to go back to 1.27 and start from the beginning. Hate to have to do that for one feature, but it is going to bug me if I don't. Unless I can manually start the DOCK SELECTION app, since it doesn't start when I plug in the HDMI cable.

1.27? Did you mean 26?

You can just flash SBF to .8.3.

I noticed Gingerblur 4.0 came out. You can flash the upgrade from 3.5 to 4.0 and see if the functionality you're looking for works. If that fails, then you can flash SBF to 8.3, root, flash tenfars recovery, then flash Gingerblur 4.0 again.

Good luck.

Ya i meant 26, there is alot of gossip with the official gingerbread being released within a month or two. So I think I am going to go to stock form, with root and sideload then just wait for the ota gingerbread.

You can also grab the lapdock/webtop hack too after you root. I'm quite fond of the webtop hack. I don't see the need for the entertainment center as you can browse the same content from the webtop UI.

AIW is really cool too.=)

ok, so kinda figured out what was wrong. It actually looks like a hardware issue. This morning it was acting a little buggy so i decided to pull the battery and then it wouldn't boot for nothing. It said "failed to boot, starting RSD support". So I plugged it in to RSD lite and it wasn't even recognizing the device. Quick trip to ATT store and the techs tell me there is hardware issues, as the did all they could software wise but nothing. I got it from amazon so they couldn't replace it. Amazon is awesome, I told them what the ATT techs said and no questions are sending me a new unit. Whatever the techs did attempt actually made RSD lite see it, so I was able to flash a SBF to it, 3 attempts later and it boots, kinda cool i got it up and they couldn't. Its still buggy and I don't trust it so I will still send it back when I get the new one. Good support from everyone and I guess I will just look at this as my practice one. I plan on cleaning this thing out as much as possible before I send it back, as long as it stays on that is.
