Gingerbread benchmark tests

tell yourself that undervolting won't shorten your device life, that's cool. tell yourself that getting bootlooped while undervolting can't happen, that's cool. most of the "performance" increase you see is mental because you're inspecting it.

I've done it, didn't improve battery life, didn't see performance increase, but did experience problems coming back out of standby, but didn't bootloop. It's classical computing knowledge that undervoltage in general will decrease device life because of the strain you are putting on them.

You think Moto engineers didn't try running at your undervolting settings to save power. This wasn't overlooked, their voltage was chosen for a reason. Pretty sure they put a lot more time and money into researching it than any individual has.

Its true that undervolting can shorten the lifespan of a computer but not all hardware is made equally. My phone may only clock to 1.1 safely while yours could clock at 1.4. Same goes for undervolting. The engineers hose the lowest value that would work with ALL hardware.

no overclock yet but this biiitch is smoking

Im running the unstable apps overclock. Its very well..... stable. I ran it under voltage and up to 1.45 without issue. Keeping it at a lower voltage at 1.2.

This its getting insane. I thought the 1800+ I was hitting on RubiX was awesome -

Higher benchmark scores mean we're more awesome! Or something. But yeah, I mostly undervolt to save battery life, but I do like to overclock to play some games. I mentioned in another thread, playing Dungeon Defenders (which is my go-to I'm-bored-and-in-the-waiting-room game) was SO smooth on overclocked Gingerbread.

In response to thread: after rooting/undervolting/overclocking to about 1.2 ghZ, been getting consistently over 2000 in Quadrant. Whatever that says about my awesomeness :p

LOL.. Love It!!

first try was 16?? 2nd was 1750 and 3rd was 1821!!! I am STOKED!

So who was your favorite in Gilagins Island? Mary Ann Or Ginger? :p
