Gingerbread coming to the X this sunday?

Motorola approved it, good enough for me. Love how motorola takes good care of us.

It's here. Can someone point me to a walk through on how to load this with a Mac?
Or do I just have to root and use bootstrap?

So we root the phone, to install Gingerbread which turns around and unroots the phone. Am I correct with this?

Yes you're correct. also make sure to wipe data or you will bootloop and run into the endless sync issues.

Has everyone else been checking to see if there is a root every 15 minutes today, come on baby!

if you dont wipe, then factory after installing GB will also get rid of the synch symbol

Ok thx. I wanted to make sure thats what was going to happen. Debating on whether to install this only because I've been reading about bad battery life and that its tough to sbf back on a windows 7 computer which is all I have in my house. XP is long gone

You can run RSDlite on your windows 7 computer in XP mode, not sure if that would help out. I haven't had issues with windows 7 & rsdlite yet. Right click on the rsdlite.exe, properties, Compatibility
