Gingerbread getting Bum Reviews?

So, I've been reading some very unflattering things about Gingerbread on other forums. Mainly bugs and stability issues. Ugh!

Any way to prevent an auto-OTA update on the ThunderBolt until we think it is "ready"?

It won't be released until it's ready.

Gingerbread on the Thunderbolt won't be anything like Gingerbread on the Nexus S or Nexus 1. It'll have Sense on top of it. It'll be different. It'll have its own problems, just like any other update for any other phone does.

I'm running a port of a gingerbread sense ROM now on my myTouch 4G and so far it's pretty darn good. It's only been a day so I can't comment too much, but if they spend as much time on Gingerbread for the Thunderbolt you guys will be happy.

By the time the Bolt gets it, it will be fine.

What exactly will it improve?
Will it increase performance, add addition functionality, add more apps, or just change random screens and functions for the sake of changing them?

Im hoping it looks like the Sense UI on the Evo 3D.

It would be awesome of HTC also updates Sense to 3.0 when the Gingerbread updates is rolled out.
