Just got home from a full day of gingerbread. I have the 1750 mAh battery. Normally when I get home, my battery is sitting around 45-55% power, but today my battery is at 69%. I will have to test it for a few more days to get a good grasp on how much better my battery life is on gingerbread.

Other than that, I've noticed my radio is picking up a 3G signal in locations where I didn't have service, such as a basement and a staircase. I'm overall pleased with gingerbread, the only problem I've seen is the VM notifications, but I use gtalk, so no problems.

Its works great, i have been playing with it all day. I only found one problem, I cant watch youtube clips in high quality. After that when I try to watch another streaming clip, from a different website or app it doesn't play.I think this can be fixed with a youtube update.

Phill where can I get a SIP account from what company what is the difference from normal phone calles?

I have had 8 reboots in the 6 hours running this update. Am I the only one?? phone is just freeze and then reboot. Any suggestions??

So far, no issues. But I didn't have any reboot issues previously. It might possibly have been a bad upgrade installation. You could try a factory reset. Also, have you loaded any new apps lately that might not be compatible with GB?

Search is your friend. People gave tons of suggestions for the last 2 updates. I think they're mostly just wishful thinking. You'll get it when you get it. Or download the RUU and install it.

Yes and searching those threads and trying the suggestions didn't work. I had to plug my phone into a power source and restart to re-activate the update notification.

Well didnt that take a while? After 1.5 hours at 3g the download and resets and installs are all done and if for nothing less, at least I dont have to track when Gingerbread is finally coming anymore!!!! I still wouldnt mind me some 4G tough Can u hear me VZ? And fyi, my emergency call button on the lock screen appears fine. So far so good, but big whoop to the apps tabs, that was anti-climactic, I thought I could make my own tabs, not what verizon bloat they want me to see.And ya gotta know the first thing I tested was to make sure the video camera still recorded sound It does.

Oh ok. I tried BAMF Forever with Sense 3.0 and I hated it. Can't stand the carousel. No option to turn it off, apparently. So I flashed CM7. I really like Sense 2.1 though.

FIXED. Not a a workaround.

Oh, clock. I came from a Palm Pre Plus six months ago and I was hoping you were referring to some kind of Exhibition-type mode that would show me notifications at a glance on a charging screen or something.

For what it's worth, I combined WidgetLocker & Executive Assistant with Widgetsoid's "screen on while charging" for a Pre Exhibition-like effect.

OK an update from almost a full day's use...

my phone is noticeably faster. everything is snappier. programs load quicker, home pages flip sooner, and there's a shorter delay when toggling radios.

so while the update isnt exactly ground-breaking and the wait was entirely too long, i'm glad it's finally here.
