I almost pulled the trigger on the LG REV this weekend but fought off the urge. Then I heard about the Amazon Monday and thought about pulling the trigger on the Bolt or Charge. Each one seems to have its unique issues.
Then I loaded Gingerbread on my aging, boring DX and Wow! Instant new phone feeling. I think this is what this phone should have always been.
I never rooted it because there was always rumors of upgrades pending (Froyo, Gingerbread) so I don't know if I would have felt this excitement earlier.
Now I can peacefully sit back and take my time to strategically outwit Verizon and there pending 4G data tiers and maybe be content till the Bionic shows up. Or maybe a magical update will create a great phone out of the TB, Charge, or REV.
I don't know which will happen first but my need new phone impulse has been pacified for now.
