Gingerbread NOW available

This is much better stock experience than the original Eclair/Froyo experience. I hope to god this is rooted because the ROMs are going to be really awesome.

So far so good... The only thing I'm noticing is that I can't do a 4x1 clock. It'll either do 4x2 or larger, but not one line date/clock using the Motorola Widget.

Sorry didn't want to fire up adb for a better screen cap. Xoom had to do the job. 1806!

Coming from apex 1.4...yes I know 1.4.1 came out, just didn't get around to installing...looks like i was smart in that :)....instructions por favor? I am in your debt as always.

The instructions are in the original post at MDW, which is linked in the first post in this thread.

I didn't SBF either. I just wiped my data and cache via recovery and flashed. It runs flawlessly. Can't wait till we get root so I can get back free WiFi tether. Maybe some theming to "de'blue" the look a bit, nothing major.

Some more impressions,
besides how fast and nice it looks, it seems Moto has learned their lesson from the DX/D2. The contact list functions far better as far as I can tell. They gave us BACK the stock contact shortcut functionality, they free'd the home button, so that means quick desk users can have their app back, and you can compose text by long pressing the search button.

I am pretty damned impressed right now. It gives me a pretty nice glimpse of what the Bionic will be like

I'll wait for root before installing 2.3 I use wifi and shootme too much to not have them.

lm holding off on this at least til its rootable as well :)

Very impressed so far. I am having only one issue that I didn't see anyone post about.

Im having wifi issues. It connects fine but the browser is almost non functional on wifi. Once I switch to 3g its fine. Market doesn't work well either.

My bluetooth tether to Xoom is much more functional with this build which is nice since I lost root like and can't wifi tether.

Had some issues with LP but it seems to have calmed down now.
Everything is very, very fast, even BT pairing is almost instant.
Compass is totally borked however. Seems like the axes are switched. Will try to calibrate again but I've tried 3 times and only one green and it didn't seem to take.

So, you guys are installing this right over your current ROM (I'm still on Apex 1.3) without even un-freezing bloatware apps via Titanium?

Yes I was on Apex 1.4.1 and just did bootstrap and ran recovery and installed the file the SD Card and it installed fine. Just make sure you wipe before rebooting after the install.
