Gingerbread update is coming!!

Anybody else having big unstabilty problems with the infuse 4g like especially annoying display going dim often , icons moving all over the place, volume changing Hopefully the gingerbread will stbilize this device
I returned one thinking it was the first device defective but now second one also?????????????

the display will go dim when the infuse is used for a few mins because of overheating issues. Once cooled off the screen brightness returns

Was your phone plugged in when you experienced these problems? The reason I'm asking is because my infuse did the same thing to me, until I noticed a pattern. It only happened when I was plugged into a certain charger that I own. therefore it was the charger that was defective not my infuse. just wondering if in your case it's the same.

Come to think of it att said they were going to update ALL the android phones in their line up by the end of August. My nephew got GB for his inspire .... so maybe as far as release dates go we'll get it in a few months ...

That being said.... att is a big enough company that has many employees working on this update. If the infuse got gb 6 mos after its release date, then there should be no reason (imo) why ALL of them should get it... ESPECIALLY if you can get it from Rodgers right out of the box..... its not like its NOT out there.

I used to have a bb and was always a bit jaded because there would be a leak for software V6.2.101.... then a week later V6.2.109.... what have you. I guess that's bitter sweet now.... sometimes I feel like not using a phone at all !

For that reason, I feel like going back to BB lol

I'm pissed at myself for buying this damn thing. Should have kept my iPhone 3Gs until later in the fall (after the iPhone 5 was released).

I don't know if it's Samsung, or AT&T dragging it's feet, but either way I'm not happy.

It's AT&T. They do it all the time. Samsung has done their job, Gingerbread is on the Infuse (if you are in Canada). I have no doubt that they have made it available for all Infuse phones regardless of location. AT&T on the other hand is slow to allow updates and they have been this way for years. I have not done enough research but I wonder how much better Verizon is with updates? Because if they are leaps and bounds better, then I will be with them in 1 1/2 years. That I can guarantee.

wow if you really want GB that bad put it on your phone..I would like to have GB on my infuse but what's on it right now is 100 times better thasn anything apple has ever put out... Geesh cry babies are everywhere.

I have GB on my Infuse. I did not wait for AT&T. However I do not like paying the money I do when a company continually restricts access to an updated OS that is clearly better than what the phone comes with. Especially when others with this phone have the update automatically. Call me or anyone else in this thread whatever you want. When you are done accepting subpar service then you might be here doing the same thing.

what everyone does not know is how we test the loads before their public release. Just because one carrier accepts a lodge and releases it does not mean all will. every load has to be teamed in all regions to ensure it will work for the masses. Complain all you want, you would complain even more if we released bunk software.

I find it hard to believe you only bought the infuse cos you thought it would have GB at the end of Aug.

Some people are never happy, I myself actually like at&t I think someone dropped the ball in making a Aug. prediction, if they actually did. I have heard stories that they never gave a dead line for the infuse, it doesn't matter though. My infuse does everything it is suppose to do.

Got my Infuse in may a week or so after it came out, sold my 3gs to get it. As soon as I had heard about the infuse I had looked up little piece of information that was available for it before it was released, it was the only phone that I had been excited about, not even the atrix had me interested. I still absolutely love this phone, I have friends who have gotten it and they love it as well. This is one of the better phone to get.

It's AT&T. I would never buy an apple product, so I can't say that I agree with you there. If I wanted GB that bad, I'd put a custom ROM on it.

Before this I had a Captivate...to me, my upgrade was worth it. I'm just pisses at AT&T for saying it's coming in August, and not holding true to their word.

Just checked today and there is a 14.5 mb update...not sure exactly what this update is but some type of maintenance
Transitions between pages/screens seem a little faster..all i've noticed so far
