Glass Replacement?

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone attempted to replace just the glass portion of the display? (A part like this: http://www.etradesupply.com/replacem...lass-lens.html). The only other option I see is replacing the full assembly, which is undesirable but may be necessary. Just curious if anyone has had a go at this before.

Often times the glass is part of the rest of the assembly and can't be purchased/installed independently. Let us know how the install goes if you decide to replace the screen.

Too much work for me. iPhones are easy as hell. This meh.
And yea I have a cracked screen. Just paying ATT the warranty a month lol.

Although some places appear to sell the glass panel separately, as far as I can tell from the ifixit review the digitizer is bonded to the glass so replacing them separately is not possible. Sad news, but that's pretty common with newer devices. Thanks for your input guys!
