Glitch Kernel Voltage Setteing

I am wondering if someone can answer this.....

I think the best Kernel to use is the LL one. Is this correct? What I mean by "best" is the one that will give the best battery performance.

From my limiterd knowledge, the High, Medium and Low are provided to match up with whatever chip was manufactured for your specific phone. Most were produced using a High Leakage chip so you would get better results using the HL.

So, just like most kernal settings, we have to mix and match to see what works best for us. I started with the HL and moved to the ML and have been getting better results. Hope that helps.

I'll test them all then... thank you.

From what I understand, the LL kernel is the best one "if it works with your phone." If it doesn't work, then you'd have to try the ML one. If that still doesn't work, you're stuck with the HL one. Personally, I've been lucky and the LL kernel is working great for me. I think I got really lucky with this phone, as it has been very stable throughout several experiments with different roms/kernels, etc.

that's what I thought as well and was using the LL kernel. No issues at all with it. I UVed it to -75 on everything I had active (1250 - 100) and it flew like a champ and never once crashed. still I could only get about 12 hours out of the battery but then again I didn't give it a chance to settle down the few days it might need as I keep flashing the CM7 nightlies in hopes of them fixing the phone call issue.

That is the downside to all these great developments lately isn't it?!?!? The weekly MIUI updates allow just enough time for my phone to settle in and then wham....another flash.

I imagine the nightlies are killing you worse, but its like Crack.....we can't stop!

Regarding voltage settings, does anyone have any tips? I'm running the medium leakage but I'm afraid to tamper with the settings. I looked for a solid guide but most seemed to assume some prior knowledge on the topic.

Honestly it is trial and error for everyone as all phones act differently. I will tell you this though, DO NOT apply them as boot settings until after you have tested it thoroughly.

I DL'ed the LL Glitch kernel and this one works very nicely for me. I have everything set to -75 with zero issues. I also only have it overclocking to 1200 as my phone is speedy enough and I cannot tell the difference with it set any higher.

I downloaded and flashed the ML glitch kernel but when trying to overclock, even to 1200mhz, my phone restarts. I realized that if I changed the min to 200 and then the max to 1200 it would be stable. Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong? I tried using the other leakage kernels but ML seemed to be the most stable. Any help would be greatly appreciated. But even without overclocking, this is the fastest my phone has been.

Alright. I hope someone can help before I just restore the phone to factory...

I seem to have made some changes to Voltage Control (some undervolting and overclocking) and now my phone boots, then freezes before I can get back into the app to change things back.

Let me know if I am toast, or if I can bypass the boot settings (or change them). THANKS!

You should be fine; go to CWM (you'll have to use the 3 fingered to get there since you can't boot all the way--it's worth a try even if it doesn't work). When you're there, scroll to "Glitch." You can do all kinds of little nifty things there.

On a separate note, I'm running the following UV settings (with no OC):

1000 -150
800 -150
400 -150
200 -175
100 -200

It is stable but I haven't had it set as such to get a good reading on what my battery life will be. Is this safe to have settings this low?

The way I see it, if it's stable, I'm good to go, right? There isn't a whole lot of information on this topic--someone enlighten me please!
