I'll likely enter the AT&T APN settings just to be on the safe side.
Yes! Do this!! You're unlocked device obviously won't come pre-loaded with the info for your carrier so I think it would be wise to do so.

Nothing at all. Although it has the 4G symbol and not LTE, the speeds are faster than my G3 lol

Yeah man same here! Then again, I have Sprint with my G3, lol! T-mobiles 4G data speeds in my area are ridiculously fast with this G4! Its not looking good staying with Sprint for me.
They(AT&T store) had to change something . I fiqured that what it was though.I had to go to AT&T to get a Sim card anyhoo so thats the original reason I went to the store
The phone had picked up somethings on its on but they had to manually enter new info and deleted the old info. Then it worked on data, and LTE
Calls, texts and mms work fine without messing with any settings. Lucky me!

But what about LTE? What carrier? If you're not sure use this app - LTE Discovery to determine which LTE band is connected.
Anyone else getting an LG update? I haven't inserted my sim card or connected to wifi yet but there is a notification saying there is an update and a LG style notification at the top. Should I update it?
I have the H815 - no updates but I did check in settings
About Phone->Update center->Software update - interesting two choices:
Check automatically or Auto-install Updates
I left both unchecked to prevent auto downloading and installation. So this is the default LG not carrier version I assume. Nice!
The LG app updates are all up to date too.

Good to know, I just went into that and unchecked the two options.
On another note, I went ahead and enabled developer options, same as before tap build number 7 times.
There is a new option in there "enable OEM unlock" which says "allow the device to be OEM unlocked".
If you're in the NYC area, T-Mobile is the way to go. My buddy lives in Astoria and gets great T-Mobile service. Unfortunately out by me they aren't the best option.
So is it safe to say that the unlocked version of the G4 is better than a carrier locked one or is it still too earlier? How are you lucky H815 users holding up? Likes, dislikes?!? I most likely will be moving on to gsm devices only from now on which means I won't be able to stay with Sprint (or go with Verizon).
Hey everyone. Just ordered my g4 from tropical mobile! Can't wait! Anyone here using straight talk? Know if it'll be compatible with the factory unlocked G4?

Storms here on the Island too. Wish I had the phone to check haha. We've been getting hit with thunderstorms today and there is a cool lock screen animation with clouds and thunder that I like. Anyone seen this animation yet?
