I just wanted to pass this along. This is the first time this has happened since I got my DInc (over a year ago) but thought it needed to be shared.
I had an issue yesterday where my GMail app was not sending emails. They were sitting in the outbox and not going anywhere. So I tried sending via the integrated mail app and it worked fine. I was also able to send via Touchdown, so I know it wasn't a data/connectivity issue, but directly related to the Gmail app. Basically I had to clear the cache and data for the Gmail app. Here's the steps:
After doing this the Gmail app is working great again.

- Go into Settings>Applications>Manage Applications
- Find Gmail in the list of applications (you may have to press the All tab at the top if you don?t see it)
- Clear the application?s Cache and Data. You?ll get the picture below when you try to clear the data, but this will be re-synced later on.
- That?s it. You?ll have to relaunch Gmail and manually re-sync your accounts, but after that, the issue will be solved.

After doing this the Gmail app is working great again.
