Hey everyone,

This morning I wanted to test out GMail on my new Nook (running stock rooted). I opened up the app and started typing the person's first name like I would on my Evo. Nothing came up. I tried a few other names with the same results. Is there something I need to do to get the contacts to autopopulate (they are in my contact list and my calendar syncs, so I know there data is going back and forth).

Thanks.

I think I might have figured it out. I am guessing this particular feature requires Froyo?

Export your contacts from desktop gmail to a .vcf file. Stick the file on your SD card. Download/Install the app "Import Contacts" from the market. Run import contacts to get the contacts loaded. Reboot.

It worked for me. I merged my contacts. A few errors popped up, but I ignored them and contacts do work now.

I'm on rooted stock.
