On Pixel 6a how can I get all inboxes to be the default. I have a work email account and a gmail account. I do not want to forward all of my work email to gmail for security reasons. It is so annoying that I have to switch to all in boxes every time I open gmail.

Unfortunately this is not possible in Gmail on Android. I have no idea why it works on iPhones though.

Open Gmail then go setting>tap your account>inbox categories tap and uncheck all the boxes there Screenshot_20220901_205959_Gmail.jpg

I believe so , isn't that what OP wants all to view?

I have them all unchecked and it doesn't behave that way.

Open the Gmail app, tap the overflow menu and select "All Inboxes". That's the view OP wants to see by default when he opens the app. Is this possible?

You could create shortcuts on your home screen directly to your individual inboxes. Then you could at least open to the inbox you want with one tap.

I believe that's only for the Gmail account. OP wants to combine all emails from all accounts (Gmail and work), which I agree is not possible in the Gmail app. You may want to try a 3rd party email app like Aqua Mail.

Once you uncheck those it puts everything in your inbox just selecting selecting view all and not categorized.

I believe a 3rd party can do this

Agree, not with Gmail, but there's many other email clients that can do it though.

I've been doing a unified email box using the Blue Mail app for years. It has a beautiful UI, is highly customizable, and is packed with features.
