GMail - Email Push - Please Help

I'm having some difficulty with the GMail pushing to my phone -- I have to manually hit the refresh button then magically i see 20 - 25 emails every couple of hours that I should have received. I've done all the standard syncing with the settings menu and it still doesn't seem to help. Yahoo email is the same thing, although from what VZW told me is that Yahoo wont push unless I upgrade to Yahoo premium or some garbage -- my blackberry never had problems with emails and this is just getting frustrating. VZW told me to do a hard reset and clear my phone to see if that will solve the problem -- sorry, not willing to do that because if it still doesn't work then VZW sends a replacement phone (of course a factory refurbished pos and not a new phone) -- so if there is anyone who has any tips or advice, please let me know...thanks in advance.

I would try creating another gmail account (which you can delete later) and sign into it on your phone then delete your current gmail account from your phone. Cycle power on your phone then add back your original account and see if that solves your issue. If so you can remove your temp gmail account if not test out your temp account by sending emails to it and see if it gets pushed. This should find out if the problem is with your phone or not.

Are you using the gmail app? Thats what I use and it works great.

I have this issue occasionally. Go in to the phone settings, applications, manage applications, and find gmail in the all tab. Click on it and clear data and cache.
Go into the app and it should push all your email to you.
This has fixed it for me.
