Gmail Inbox Bug of sorts

I don't think this has been brought up elsewhere, and it's more annoying than anything else, but when I hit my Gmail button to go into the program I find that 7 times out of 10 it takes me to the same email instead of my Inbox list. And I'd much rather start at my Inbox list than an email, sometimes from several days ago. Anyone else have this problem or have a solution?

If you want to have the inbox list your first view then all you need to do is when you exit your gmail application use the back button instead of just hitting home.

Well now I feel stupid. I was hitting "Back to Inbox" instead.
