Gmail Inbox Reconcile issue

For some reason, my Gmail Inbox and my phone are no longer BFF's (yeah, i went there)
Here is what happens...

I get an email, I read it, I hit delete, and it disappears. Then I get another email, and it says I have 2 new emails, but only one shows. When I go in to view labels and hit all mail, they are all still in there. I try and delete them from all mail, and they disappear. Then I go back out to my inbox and it says I have 2 new emails, but nothing shows. I then go back in to all mail and they are there again. If i go through my computer and delete the emails everything gets cleared on the phone

My phone is rooted and bloatware is removed. I even master reset my device and also loaded a backup that was completely bone stock, it just had root. I am at a loss. I cant find any setting that would be interrupting the sync. I dont have a task killer and I . Anyone have any ideas????

settings/applications/manage applications
gmail/force stop and clear data
gmail storage/ do the same
reboot

And I bet the same thing happened to your market as well same steps as above but under market hit uninstall updates and reboot.
