Gmail not in Multi-task screen

I think it used to be there, but now when I hold down the home button and the multi-task screen pops up the gmail icon is never there. Even if I just used it.

I've noticed that too. When I get an email and open it through the status menu, Gmail doesn't pop up on the home button. But the icon is there when checking email through the Gmail app.

You're right. I have an inbox icon not the actual gmail icon on my home screen and if I use that it won't appear when multi-tasking. But if I go to the actual app it does. Very Interesting... But stupid.

Oh well at least it works
