Gmail not sending email notifications ?

I'm in the same boat. I've tried all the suggestions, but no gmail push without user intervention. Fortunately, it still pushes to the Blackberry.

I hope this gets fixed shortly.

same problem on my Droid X since this morning. Same thing happened, woke up without any emails. Get at least 5-10 every morning. Went in and hit refresh and there they were. Haven't had a single email actually pushed all day.

I had the same problems but my emails are suddenly pushing instantly again. Looks like google is working it out.

Mine looks to be *fingers crossed* working now, I have gotten two separate email notifications in the past hour after none without manual sync/refresh since Tuesday night.



Okay I take it back, it has pushed twice but has since dropped off again. I guess they are working on it, we'll see!

Mine isn't working either

My email has not pushed to me in several days. I've done all the clearing cache/data - all the tricks published on all the forums. I was becoming concerned until I saw everyone else going through the same ordeal. That makes me feel better, knowing it isn't local to my phone only..

Mine is still intermittent. Sometimes it pushes and sometimes it doesn't.

Yeah I have noticed mine is somewhat intermittent but overall it seems to be working fairly normally. I wonder why some people are having improvement and others aren't?

any update on this? my Gmail PUSH will work for a few days then it will stop pushing. when i go in and clear the Gmail App cache and data it will PUSH again. but it's only a temporary fix - after a few days it will stop. anybody else having this problem? is it still a known unresolved issue? i am using the latest Gmail App and an EVO with 2.2 Froyo. i have two Gmail accounts set up and both my primary and secondary accounts are affected by this.

My issue (and I think others in this thread) was when there was that random data outage in the beginning of November. I haven't had any issues since then.

Sometime when I send an email it can take a while to send. Especially with an attachment. Now I know sending an attachment takes awhile but a 1MB attachment on a wi fi connection should not take 10 minutes!!

have you tried using the stock email app? That sends faster I have noticed.

1. i have no problems sending ever since the new Gmail update. before i would occasionally get stuck on the "Sending" message. this appears to have been fixed since last update.
2. PUSH fails every week or so unless i clear data cache as per above.
3. i refuse to use any app other than the Gmail app.
4. hopefully Gingerbread will fix this issue. my guess is that it's also tied to GTalk since it uses that protocol for PUSH.

i can't believe more people aren't biitching about this.

I am in China just now and have not been able to acces gmail at all since Wednesday 27 June except for about 5 minutes on Sunday morning. Is anyone having similar problems?
