Gmail not syncing properly

Recently I've noticed that when I read or move emails to another folder on my phone, it no longer syncs to my online gmail so it says that I have a lot of unread emails.
It used to sync just fine, and I'm not sure what has changed.
Anyone else have this issue?
I tried searching for it and didn't find any information about it.
Help!

I have experienced problems with gmail syncing properly on android and followed the steps on the attached link. This fixed my issues.

also check this... open gmail, select account (if you have more than one) menu, settings, labels... then you'll see a list of ask of your folders, make sure all of the folders you want to sync to are selected.

Great link! I was having issues with syncing too. It seems to happen after I do a nandroid restore.
