GMail not syncing

For the last while, my gmail has not been syncing on my phone. If I go in and hit refresh it will sync up and download new emails, but this is no longer happening automatically like it used too. I've checked the settings, and don't see anything amiss.

Any ideas? Anything I'm missing?

I've had the same issue for several days now. Not getting any notifications for new email, have to go in and manually refresh. What phone do you have?

No custom ROM.

Original Atrix 4G.

I just saw on another forum something about the power widget and making sure sync is turned on. I rebooted and noticed the sync was off, so I turned it on, we'll see if that does the trick.

Okay, that worked.

@jrwatt Add the Andorid Widget for Power Control. Then make sure that the 'Sync' button is on. (second from the right). That worked for me and now it's syncing.

Thanks for the "doh!" slap! I already had a switch widget. Checked it and sure enough auto-sync was switched off. I feel stupid now.......

Yeah, you're not alone...lol. I had it on too, never checked it. Been racking my brain and checking everything for two days....but never that. HAHA! Oh well....

If going into settings and accounts and autosync doesn't fix the issue go to apps and clear data from g-mail that should reset everything and it should work.I have had the same issue before and it seems to help,then again thats a normal thing w the gmail app
