Gmail Not Syncing

Over the past 4 days my SF has not been syncing with Gmail. When I open it I need to refresh it and even then I don't always get messages. I've even factory reset the phone and it worked once or twice after that but its not working again. Anyone else having these issues? Any advice? Thanks.

also i think background data needs to be turned on.

Gmail not syncing has become an annoying problems with most phones(excluding mine). You could troubleshoot the account to see if that might fix it.

Menu > Settings > applications > Manage applications > Gmail then clear Data and Cache, and if available uninstall any updates as well.

Clearing cache works sometimes as rush said. I have noticed however the past 36 hours or so that Gmail has been acting up a lot for me, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the issues you're having but I figured it's worth mentioning.

This sounds crazy but as soon as I posted this your emails started coming in... crazy!

What I've notice about some of these phones...leaving the settings to default seem to make the phone function better. (I'm just saying)

I noticed this in the past few days of my phone as well. I had to enable gmail through the normal email feature of my phone. Looks like the problem was resolved the next day.
