Gmail not syncing

Recently, I got two new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 cell phones for both me and my wife. I have noticed that I don't receive any notification fro Gmail for any new email although Notification option is enabled. This is not the case for other apps as I receive prompt notifications for Facebook, twitter, WhatsApp, Instagram, Snapchat, .. etc. The same thing goes for my wife device !

I went through the same thing I just downloaded another app and I get my notification again.

I found out , you can't have battery saver on and now it works fine !
