Gmail not updating server

So....when I delete my email from the Gmail app, it does not update the server. Not only does it say on the upper left that I have twenty new emails, but when I log in on my computer, all of the emails I have read or deleted on my TB are still there, marked as new. I have reinstalled Gmail and emptied the cache.

Glad you were able to figure it out.
Also when there are minor little glitches remove the battery and SIM card for a few seconds. Sometimes it needs to be rebooted. It is a mini computer!
