Gmail notifcations not working correctly after upgrading to Kit Kat 4.4.2

Not sure if anyone else is having this problem but I do not seem to be getting notifications for each of my Gmail accounts since upgrading to 4.4.2. I have checked the account settings and each one has the notifications box checked but I often (multiple times per day) go into the accounts and find new mail even though no notification was present. I do receive notifications but I believe that they are tied to only one of my 3 accounts. Anyone else have this problem and been able to find a solution? Thanks!

I have 3 Gmail accounts on my phone and all my notifications seem to be working fine.

I think I've figured this out...

Apparently, after I received the KitKat update, some of the settings in Gmail were saved while others were lost. It turns out that while the notifications box was checked, none of the sub features (Sound, Vibrate, Notify for every message) were checked so I only received one notification until I checked my mail.

It seems so simple now but, if you're having the same problem, make sure that all of the notification options (you want) are checked.
