Gmail or inbox?

Ah I gotcha. Well I did go back to inbox, with the most basic small file sized document viewer that I could find. Lol

Yes but you see with inbox, I need another document viewer app in addition if you know what I mean.

I have already have the full Google 'office' suite installed so that was never much of an issue.

I tried Inbox when it was released and wasn't into it. I recently have given it another go and it's working out a lot better. The feature I enjoy most is the ability to quickly snooze messages I don't need to deal with right away. I still have the Gmail app installed for when I need it...

I love the look of the interface, the wait it handles email, etc. It performs very well and I do like how it automatically categorizes, and organizes email.

I use Inbox and love the snooze feature. I also like the interface itself much more.than the Gmail one. Just seems faster to me for some reason.

I use both since I have two Gmail accounts. I like Inbox for the standard email account and I use Gmail for business email account.

GMail. I only get a few e-mails a day, and most of the time I'm at Inbox Zero, so the neato sorting ability is mostly lost on me.

None lol. I sync my outlook with the native email apps on my Xperia Z5 Premium and my LG G4. Gmail isn't the greatest for outlook emails. Works fine for Office 365 though.

Gmail for me. It does everything I want. I tried Inbox and it just didn't feel right to me.

I went to try in shortly after it came out but their website said Firefox not supported? WTF? No desktop or web is a no go for email. A product shouldn't be released unless it can work on any browser day one. I know Inbox works on Firefox now but I haven't thought about it again... First impressions are everything Google!

If you don't get a lot of emails, GMail will be fine. If you get any sort of volume, once you configure labels inside Inbox, you'll see a huge difference.

Funny, I feel the exact opposite under the same circumstances. I've used labels in GMail to manage my incoming email for quite a number of years now, and I find it much more intuitive than the way Inbox handles them.

To each their own, I guess. It took a little while to get used to Gmail back in the day due to the "no folders? Labels? Whaaaaat?" learning curve, but now that I've gotten used to it I prefer it - and Inbox just took that concept a step too far for my personal tastes.

There ya go. I do like the fact that the two are compatible though.... i.e. GMail's filters and labels, etc all function the same in Inbox. For the simple things I set up the filters in Inbox but for more tricky stuff I go in and admin them in GMail. So there's no fuss switching from the gmail web page on my laptop to the Inbox app.

Inbox is awesome.. and keeps getting better.. I use it at work via browser and phone. I cant go back to Gmail at this point.
